The violin's artistic form reflects the stage lights illuminating its holder as she stands backstage, awaiting her time to go on. Any performer knows standing backstage is both a nerve-wracking and exciting experience. She could very well be a dancer, singer, comedian, or actor, anticipating their time to showcase their chops to an awaiting audience. Thoughts of “Am I good enough"” or “What if I mess up?” are of course never-ending, but in this moment before, she stands stoic and centered, ready to face it.
